Avv. Giovanni Babino

Born in Palermo on 30 June 1958. Graduated in Law on 23 March 1982 from the University of Palermo with a mark of 110/110 cum laude. From 1982 to 1986 he practiced professional activity in the Law Firm. Riccardo Mancuso Lo Sardo, full professor of shipping law and associate of commercial law at the University of Palermo.

From 1/06/1986 to 31/12/1994 he practiced as a lawyer with his own law firm, assisting commercial companies with both extrajudicial and procedural activities.

 

On 5/01/1995 he founded together with the lawyer. Bartolomeo Falcone the Babino & Falcone law firm, later with the entry of new partners, Babino, Falcone & Falcone Avvocati Associati, based in Milan.

 

For more than thirty years he has also worked as a lawyer in international disputes in trials before the Italian Courts, Courts of Appeal and Supreme Court as well as in arbitration proceedings.

 

He deals with Italian and international commercial law, corporate law, intellectual property, international successions and the establishment of trusts, and maritime and aviation law. 

 

Responsible for the foreign sector, he has also carried out tasks as general attorney for the treatment of successions of foreign citizens domiciled in Italy and of Italian citizens not domiciled in Italy, but with properties that were part of the inheritance and located in Italy.

Author of articles regarding “International Execution Against Judgment Debtors”, published in collaboration with the Center for International Legal Studies in Salzburg by Oceana Publications Inc. N.Y./Oxford University Press (April 2010) and “International Execution Against Judgment Debtors” Commentary, published ( April 2012) by Thomson Reuters Westlaw, with updates in application of Legislative Decree No. 150/2011, and "International Execution Against Judgment Debtors" Commentary, published (July 2013) by Thomson Reuters Westlaw, with updates in application of Italian Law n. 247/2012, as well as other articles on TRUSTS, international successions and intellectual property.
